Parts Exchange
The Parts Exchange (PX), operated by Parts Exchange Volunteers, will open at 8:00 am. Monday, April 20th to all parties who wish to consign items for sale. Items should be brought to the large tent in Paradise City, the location for Parts Exchange (PX) (formerly called Plane Parts Mart) for 2009. Entrance to the tent should be made via Airside Center Drive, just follow signs to Parts Exchange (PX) Deliveries. Consignors may purchase tags for items to be consigned at that time, or in advance* Tags/ties are 50-cents. Each tag comes with a special tie which must be used to secure the tag to the item.
Please note that tires and batteries cannot be accepted for sale due to Florida law. Tires mounted on aircraft wheel assemblies will be accepted if described as such on the tag.
Because most Sun n’ Fun Volunteers will be working on Tuesday morning when the Parts Exchange (PX) opens to the public, Volunteers will have a special advance shopping period from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday night, April 20th. Sun ’n Fun Volunteers who hold a current valid Volunteer identification wristband will be admitted into the Parts Exchange (PX) during this time. Sales will terminate at 8:00 p.m. so the Parts Exchange (PX) volunteers can prepare for opening Tuesday morning to the public.
The Parts Exchange (PX) opens to the public at 9:00 am., Tuesday, April 21st. Hours of operation through April 25th are 9:00 am. to 5:00 p.m. Sales cease at 12:00 noon, Sunday, April 26th.
Consignors may request payment for items sold anytime after 12 noon, Wednesday, April 22nd. NOTE: All payments will be by cash unless the consignor specifically states on the tag that he will accept a personal check. Cash is the preferred method of payment. No credit cards or check cashing will be available. ATM machines are available on the grounds.
Note: A registration credential (wristband) is required to drop off items for sale or to shop at the PX during regular convention daily schedule. Also, you must have your consignment contract with you upon returning to pickup funds or any unsold items.
Consignors may claim unsold items at any time during open hours; ask for assistance from any Parts Exchange (PX) Volunteer. The Parts Exchange (PX) tent will be open for consignors only on Sunday,~ April 26th from noon until 5:00 P.M. to claim unsold items. The tent will close promptly at 5:00 P.M. Sunday. Any unclaimed items will become donations to Sun n’ Fun, Inc.
