SUN 'n FUN Campground Rates

The SUN ’n FUN Convention Campground is open from March 1through April 1, 2012.

All SUN ’n FUN camping is reserved for Florida Air Museum (FAM) and other Aviation Member Associations members only). To join the Florida Air Museum, click here.

The Camper Registration Building for RV and Tent Camping is located across Medulla Road, in the field (west) of the General Auto Parking lot (across Medulla Rd.). Click here for map.

You must sign in as a member.

Regular Weekly Camping
Camper Permit Only (members only)	$100 *
Does not include required convention registration.

Camping Package #1 (members only)	$220 *
This package includes one convention registration. Early arrivals refer to the fee schedule below.

Camping Package #2 (members only)	$300 *
This package includes two convention registrations. Early arrivals refer to the fee schedule below.

Pre Fly-In Camping - 3/1 - 3/18	$20 per night *
Registration Opens - 3/19 - 3/27	$25 per night *
Convention Rate - 3/27 - 4/1	$100 wkly rate *
March 31 or later	$25 per night *
All Convention Admissions, including all CAMPING FEES are due and will be collected at the time of arrival.

A “camping unit” is defined as a tent, RV, trailer or aircraft and must be present to secure a camping location.
Campground space is issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
Camping is primitive. However, water, showers, camp store, porta-potties and dump stations are available.
All campground visitors are required to purchase convention admission credentials.

Your Campground Volunteer Hosts are here to serve you, our guest. They can answer most of your questions and will help in anyway they can to make your stay pleasant. SUN 'n FUN's telephone number is 863-644-2431, dial X150 for SUN 'n FUN Security.

For life-threatening emergencies, dial 911 from any payphone or cell phone – Please tell dispatcher you are in Polk County - SUN 'n FUN.
Camping credentials must be prominently displayed and visible to campground host volunteers. You must display your proof of camper registration on your unit at all times. It must face the roadway in such a manner that Security can view it as they conduct campground checks.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY AT HOME - Please return your Locater Card promptly to the Campground Hosts or to one of the boxes you’ll find at each shuttle stop so we can find you. If possible and applicable, please provide your cell phone number in case of emergency.
The Campground Host’s decision is final!
There are no electrical hook-ups. Do not hook up to any electrical source!
Water is available throughout the campground. Fill and leave the faucet. Do not remain hooked up – Hook ups will be cut!
Generators may be operated between 7 AM and 10 PM unless you parked in a 24-hour generator area.
Do not disturb your neighbors with loud music or partying past 10 PM. They may be early risers and disturb you at 5 AM!
No camper unit movement will be permitted on-site after dark.
Holding tanks may be emptied at one of the two dump stations located near Shower House “C” or contact the Campground Hosts for instructions to get the Honey Dipper to come to you. Do not empty anything on the ground.
HANDICAPPED CAMPING - Please do not park in any Handicapped Areas unless you have a Handicapped Permit issued by Camper Host.
Think ahead…Do not block road access for other campers.
You are not permitted to rope or mark off spots on first row, along taxiway Juliet. If you rope off space in another area of the campground, you must post a current campground permit within your roped off space, otherwise your rope will be removed. You may only rope off one camp space per each permit posted. Do not rope off an area not assigned to you. Ropes and other markers will be removed unless the space has been paid for and is permitted! Maximum size is 20’ X 40’ per paid registration. No Exceptions!
If you must temporarily vacate your site, you may leave an “occupied” sign.
No open fires. Contained charcoal or gas grills are ok.
Personal golf carts are not permitted by or rented to guests, they are used for convention operation only and require a permit. Handicapped scooters can be obtained on-site, a reservation may be required.
Pets are restricted to Convention RV Campground Areas ONLY. Leash required! Clean up after your pet is absolutely required! Guests are encouraged to leave their pets at home. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE CONVENTION SITE.
No wheeled vehicles allowed on top of, or inside of, the pond ridge.
Skateboards, Motorized Skateboards (Go-Peds), In-line skates or “Razor” typed scooters are NOT ALLOWED to be used or ridden ANYWHERE on the SUN 'n FUN grounds!
