• The campground is open from March 10, 2010 through April 18, 2010.
• Convention registration and camping fees (per unit) will be collected in advance from the date of your arrival through the week of the convention.
• All campground fees include applicable sales tax.  All visitors are required to purchase convention registration credentials.

THUNDERBIRD AERIAL DEMONSTRATION

 

The FAA requires all persons to vacate the area north of YELLOW LINE on Poberezny Rd. in the convention campground and General Aircraft Camping during POSTED TIMES Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

 

Thursday (practice) -- 1:45 – 3:15

Friday (practice) -- 2:45 – 3:30

Saturday (full show) – 2:00 – 5:30

Sunday (full show) – 2:00 – 5:30

Please note:  The Camper Registration Building for RV Convention Camping has relocated across Medulla Road, in the the field (west) of the General Auto Parking lot. Click here for map.

• Camping credentials must be prominently displayed.
• Campground space is issued on a first-come, first-served basis. 
• A “camping unit” is defined as a tent, RV, trailer or aircraft and must be present to secure a camping location. 
• You are not permitted to rope or mark off spots on first row in front of taxiway Juliet.  Camping is primitive. However, water, showers, camp store, porta-potties and dump stations are available. 
• Overnight RV and aircraft camping are available only in designated areas with limited facilities for $25 per night. 
• Overnight RV Camping is located just east Camper Registration building. 
• Overnight Aircraft Camping is not co-located with General Aircraft Camping.  It is located on the west side of the field near the VOR.  Please place a sign "ONC" in your aircraft window so ground handlers can direct you to the proper parking area. 
• No potable water source or dump stations are available in either of these locations. 
• Showers are available some distance away. 
• Membership is required....
• Campground hosts are available in most camping areas to assist you with your campground needs or requests. 
• Our main convention campground has never closed due to lack of campground space, as we have camper traffic moving in and out most of the week.

CAMPGROUND  RESTRICTIONS

• Camping is for members only
• Bicycles, scooters, in-line skates and skateboards are not permitted on the convention site. Bicycles are allowed in the Convention RV Campground Area ONLY.
• Coolers and backpacks are allowed, but may be subject to search.
• Campground rules will be provided upon registration.
  
  NOTE: For Aircraft Campers - ALL AIRCRAFT MUST BE TIED DOWN   You may BRING YOUR OWN TIE-DOWNS... or purchase them on-site for $25.00 a set. 
• If you arrive early and plan to leave your aircraft tied-down at SUN ’n FUN while visiting other area attractions, please leave your aircraft uncovered and do not set your brake. It may be necessary to move your aircraft.
• Personal golf carts are not permitted or rented to guests, they are used for convention operation only and require a permit.   Handicapped scooters can be obtained on-site, a reservation may be required.
• Pets are restricted to Convention RV Campground Areas ONLY. Leash required!  Guests are encouraged to leave their pets at home.
