What kind of volunteer would you like to be? The choice is yours!

EarlyBird Volunteer

EarlyBirds are volunteers who are invited to come to SUN 'n FUN and live in our EarlyBird Campground. They are encouraged to work a minimum of four days each week, determined by the staff supervisor in their work area. They also work throughout the Fly-In. The deadline to enter the EarlyBird Program is February 15th each year. An EarlyBird may also choose to live off site and participate in the program.

YearlyBird Volunteer

A YearlyBird is a year-round volunteer who puts in four hours per month, ten months out of each year. (October 1 through September 30). This program has incentives based on the hours worked. Hours are logged in each work area. A Volunteer Awards Banquet is held at the end of October to honor their hard work.

Fly-In Volunteer

Fly-In volunteers work in all areas of the Fly-In. They receive a patch for a minimum of eight hours of volunteer time, documented by the completion and submission of a volunteer card. Fly-In volunteers are awarded "Years of Service" pins for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years. Lunches are provided daily.

Seasonal Volunteer

Volunteers who do not fall into one of these volunteer programs may qualify for a SUN 'n FUN hat. Please check with your supervisor.
