110 children between the ages of 5-15 came to the Aerospace Center for Excellence, located on the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus today. The students are from the Boys and Girls Club of the Suncoast in St. Petersburg, Fl. The club believes, “great futures start here,” and they thought the tour of the ACE and SUN ‘n FUN campus was right up their alley.

Mrs. Brown, a Boys and Girls Club of the Suncoast coordinator, described the tour as “amazing.”

The children were able to experience STEM education throughout their tour of the campus. They created bottle rockets and blasted them off after a STEM based classroom session. The students also toured Aerospace Discovery at the Florida Air Museum and ACE’s Piedmont 727 Interactive Classroom. Some of the students have never stepped into a plane before this trip.

The Aerospace Center for Excellence and SUN ‘n FUN strive to make a difference in the lives of people young and old every day, and to inspire and educate people of all ages. Most of all, they want to create better citizens for the communities they live in.
