Mark your calendars for the 41st Annual SUN ‘n FUN International Fly-In & Expo presented by Visit Florida April 21-26, 2015 in Lakeland, FL. All event proceeds are returned to the Aerospace Center for Excellence, delivering SUN ‘n FUN’s aviation-based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) curriculums through year-round programs and activities.

The 9/27 Club VIP hospitality with flightline seating is available for purchase again this year. Including reserved parking, guests are shuttled to the Warbird Ramp and the 9/27 Club. Daily airshow schedules, registration and reservations for activities, and ticketing information can be found on the SUN ‘n FUN website at A twilight midweek airshow is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22nd. The evening program on Saturday, April 25th will include fireworks. Watch the website for special offers.

Florida residents are invited to consider the possibilities of three (3) airshows for the price of one! Buy a ticket on Saturday for the afternoon unique airshow then return Saturday night for the fireworks. Having shown your Florida ID on Saturday, there is no additional admission charge for you to return on Sunday.

Celebrations scheduled throughout the week will recognize Warbirds as they appear throughout the week, Women in Aviation, Florida Aviators, a Salute to Veterans, Florida Residents and a Brighter Future through Aviation in honor of SUN ‘n FUN’s commitment to education and the future of aviation. On Tuesday, April 21st, at 5:30 p.m., a tribute will be made in honor of SUN ‘n FUN Pioneer Duffy Thompson as Camp Duffy is introduced. Formal inductions to the Florida Aviation Hall of Fame located in Aerospace Discovery at the Florida Air Museum will be conducted by the Florida Aviation Historical Society starting with a breakfast at 8:00 a.m.

On April 23rd, two new names will be added to the Flight Path of Fame located at the Vertical Riser next to the Central Florida Aerospace Academy. The Piedmont Aerospace Experience will be dedicated in honor of Joe McGlothlin through the Tom Davis Fund as well as recognition for Bernie Little, a long time SUN ‘n FUN supporter on Thursday, April 23rd.

Also available on the website is a list of nearly 500 exhibitors presenting the newest in aviation technology, jewelry, home décor, travel tools, leisure and more. When guests arrive, tram rides will introduce them to 2,200 acres of aircraft, camping, displays, youth entertainment, a variety of international foods and entertainment. Bring your lawn chair for $10 admission after 5:00 p.m. to hear Margo Marchelle & the Rodeo Drive Band on the Sennheiser Stage on Tuesday April 21st. The International Visitors Food Truck Rally will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd with entertainment by the Hoyt Hughes Band in the Aerospace Pavilion.

Workshops and Forums open to the public throughout the week offer opportunities for recertification in aviation careers. The Aerospace Educators Workshop on Saturday, April 25th offers continuing education units (CEUs) to teachers participating in the half-day aviation-based STEM learning experience.

Education programs on the campus will include a daily lecture series, a presentation of Polk County STEM based schools, student tours, hands-on age specific activities, a student fly-by showcase, and an aviation based Career Fair supported by, scheduled for Wednesday, April 22nd . Registration for interviews at the Career Fair is required. Evening Programs present Rod Machado, SR-71 Pilots, Gary Powers, Jr. and the Airplane Repo Guys Ken Cage and Danny Thompson.

In the Southeast Exhibit Area, guests will find International Visitors hospitality and the Veterans Plaza. Both sections provide relaxation and environments to make new friends and share old memories. Don’t miss the Bahamas as they enhance the welcome area with music from the islands! Air America is celebrating 40 years since their departure from Saigon and will be hosting guests as well as presenting lectures from their exhibit. On Saturday and Sunday, classic cars and motorcycles will showcase cars circa 1974 and older. Register to participate in the Car Show and get free admission into the event.
