Alors que commence la nouvelle année scolaire, l’Académie d’aérospatiale de Floride centrale (CFAA) accueille leur plus grande classe de première année puisqu’ils ont ouvert leurs portes en 2008.

Le campus, qui est une extension du lycée de Kathleen, a été extrêmement efficace tout en éduquant les jeunes adultes dans la région du comté de Polk. L’école offre un programme d’études rigoureux qui s’articule autour des sciences, technology, ingénierie, et en mathématiques (STEM) classes de base. Il permet que l’école est située à l’entrée de la SUN ' n FUN Expo Campus, près de l’aéroport régional de Lakeland. Students can take advantage of their specialized education while viewing their potential futures outside the classroom window.

Since the schools conception, the aerospace program has continuously grown. The largest number of students the school has held to date is 340. The school plans to welcome more than 140 freshman to the campus this year, taking their student population to 365 students from grades 9-12. The school offers different aeronautical based tracks for their students. The school also promotes scholarships for their students, helping them achieve success in their field before they’ve even graduated from high school.

The 2016-17 school looks to be a promising one for CFAA and Polk County residents. SUN ‘n FUN and the Aerospace Center for Excellence welcome students new and old to the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus and wish you all a prosperous year!
